Operation Toofan: The Narco Hunt 2.0
As part of a strong social resistance against drug abuse, an anti-drug awareness programme titled “Operation Toofan - The Narco Hunt 2.0” was organised at the Palluruthy Block Panchayat premises on 28 September 2026 at 11:00 AM.
The programme was organised with the objective of creating awareness against drug abuse among youth, students and the general public, and inspiring collective efforts towards building a drug-free society.
Drug abuse is a serious social issue that adversely affects an individual's health, family life and the peaceful functioning of society. The programme highlighted the importance of creating awareness among the younger generation and the public about the harmful effects of substance abuse.
Effective anti-drug initiatives require the collective participation of Local Self-Government Institutions, educational institutions, families, youth organisations, voluntary workers and the general public. Such awareness programmes play an important role in spreading the anti-drug message across all sections of society.
Promoting a healthy lifestyle and encouraging young people to actively participate in social, sports and cultural activities can help nurture a generation that stays away from substance abuse.
